The role
Build and ship features in ERPCA, the practice management platform used by 2,500+ CA, CS and tax firms. You will own modules end to end, from the database to the screen a partner uses at month-end, in a small team where your code reaches customers within days.
What you will do
- Design, build and maintain features across the stack with MongoDB, Express, React and Node.js.
- Turn product requirements from customer conversations into clean, tested, production-ready code.
- Build and document REST APIs and integrations with government portals, payment gateways and email/WhatsApp providers.
- Improve performance of data-heavy screens: client lists, task boards, timesheets and reports with thousands of rows.
- Write unit and integration tests, review pull requests and keep the codebase easy for the next person.
- Investigate and fix production issues reported by the support team, and prevent them from coming back.
- Contribute to deployment, monitoring and security hygiene on our cloud infrastructure.
What we are looking for
- 3–5 years of professional experience building web applications with React and Node.js.
- Strong JavaScript (ES2020+) and working knowledge of TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB schema design, indexing and aggregation pipelines.
- Experience with Express or a similar Node.js framework, JWT/session authentication and role-based access.
- Comfortable with Git, pull-request workflows and writing tests with Jest or similar.
- Able to read an unfamiliar codebase and make a safe change in it.
- Clear written communication in English.
Nice to have
- + Experience with B2B SaaS, multi-tenant systems or accounting/ERP products.
- + Familiarity with AWS or a similar cloud, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- + Exposure to Next.js, Redux Toolkit or React Query.
- + Basic understanding of GST, TDS or how a CA firm works.
What you get
Ownership of real work that 2,500+ firms use
Direct access to the founders and quick decisions
Deep knowledge of the CA, tax and compliance domain
Salary based on experience, discussed at the first call
